Jagruthi is a Registered Non Governmental Organisation formed by Group of Committed Youth in the year 2003.
Jagruthi is Registered under the Andhra Pradesh Public Societies Registeration Act, 35 of 2001, vide Registration No. 389 of 2003.
Jagruthi since its inception, has been working for the Tribals living in interior areas of Warangal district for their over all development.
Jagruthi Seva Sangam is an independent, public interest organisation which aims to increase public awareness on science, technology, environment, employment, health, small-scale industries and development for the agency tribal people and also in rural semi urban areas for upliftment of downtrodden people. Our organization was started in 1995 and registered in 2003.
For more than eight years, Jagruthi Seva Sangam has been creating awareness about the environmental challenges facing our nation. Searching for solutions that people and communities can implement themselves. Challenging India to confront its problems. Inspiring it to take action. Pushing the government to create frameworks for people and communities to act on their own.
Today, Jagruthi Seva Sangam one of India’s leading environmental, employment creative NGOs specialising in sustainable natural resource management. The organization’s strategy of has won it wide respect and admiration for its quality of campaigns, research and publications. Jagruthi Seva Sangam promotes solutions for India’s numerous environmental threats – of ‘ecological poverty’ and extensive land degradation on one hand, and rapidly growing toxic degradation of uncontrolled industrialisation and economic growth on the other.
Jagruthi Seva Sangam is a non-profit organization with a mission to impact the lives of less privileged children, enabling them to maximise their potential and change their lives. Jagruthi works primarily in the field of education, addressing non formal education through the Jagruthi centre and also formal education by initiating school reform.
Over the past 12 years, the organization has expanded from 15 children in one centre to over 200 children in 8 centres in Warangal and khammam of Andhra Pradesh, with an additional 200 children in 10 schools. A commitment is made to support each child by giving him or her strong educational foundation, a good time, self esteem and values, and to help them plan how they can earn a steady livelihood as a step towards improving their standard of living.
